PLAY GOLF kicked off their junior golf calendar at the Luisita Golf Club in Tarlac from February 1-2. As in previous events, boys and girls aged 13 and up played 54 holes, while younger participants played 36 holes.
National competitor TJ Padilla excelled in the Boys 15-18 division, outshining fellow elite junior golfers Rafa Leonio, Santino Pineda, Zach Villaroman, and Patrick Tambalque.
In the Boys 13-14 division, seasoned junior golfer Emil Hernandez dominated, finishing ahead of Aenzo Sulaik, Lujo Gomez, and Xian Robles.
Gabie Rosca claimed the championship trophy in the Girls 15-18 division, surpassing Celine Abalos, Rafa Anciano, and Dallas Harvison. Meanwhile, Precious Zaragosa emerged victorious in the Girls 13-14 division against Levonne Talion, Jada Santiago, and Janneia Mataban.
In the younger divisions, Luis Espinosa triumphed in the Boys 11-12 category, outsmarting his older blue eagle brothers Race Manhit, Javie Bautista, Inigo Gallardo, and Juanton Cruz. Monte Andaman dominated the Boys 9-10 bracket.
For the Girls 11-12 division, Kelsey Bernardino was the sole competitor and therefore secured the 1st place trophy. Mavis Espedido also claimed 1st place in the Girls 9-10 division.
The competition in the Boys 8 & under category was fierce, with Asher Abad, Lauro Delen, and Franco Estrella battling for the top spot. Asher Abad took home the 1st place trophy, while the other two followed closely behind. Additionally, Winter Serapio achieved a decisive victory in the Girls 8 & under division.
The 1st place winners in the Boys and Girls 11 & above divisions received a 5-day, 4-night golf package to Hua Hin, Thailand, courtesy of the Junior Asian Golf Academy (JAGA).
